An adult holds the account. A subscription renews until you cancel, and you can cancel any time from the store or the parent area. Videos are licensed to you for personal family viewing, not for redistribution. Be reasonable with the service and we will be reasonable with you. This summary is for orientation only — the sections below are the terms that apply.
1. This agreement
These terms are a contract between you and Jellies Ltd (“Jellies”, “we”, “us”) covering the Jellies apps, the website, and anything else we describe as part of the service. By creating an account, subscribing, or using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
Our Privacy Policy and Child Safety Policy form part of this agreement.
2. Who may use Jellies
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. Children use Jellies through a profile created and supervised by the account holder; they are not parties to this agreement. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything a child does with a device you gave them access to.
3. Your account
Give accurate information and keep your password and Kid Mode passcode private. Tell us promptly at hi@jelliesapp.com if you think someone else has access. One household may use one account; sharing credentials outside your household is not permitted. You may create up to six child profiles and use the account on up to five devices at once unless we say otherwise in the app.
4. Subscriptions
Jellies is sold as a monthly or annual subscription. Prices are shown before purchase and include applicable taxes where required. Payment is taken by the app store or payment processor you chose at sign-up, and that provider’s payment terms also apply. We may change prices for future billing periods; we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email before a change affects you, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
5. Trials and renewals
If we offer a free trial, it converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel first. One trial per household. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price until cancelled. We send a renewal reminder before annual renewals where the law requires it, and as a matter of course for annual plans.
6. Cancelling and refunds
Cancel any time from the parent area or from your app store subscription settings. Cancellation stops the next renewal; access continues to the end of the period you already paid for. If you bought through an app store, refunds are handled under that store’s policy. Where you have a statutory right of withdrawal — for example the 14-day right in the EEA and UK — you may exercise it by writing to hi@jelliesapp.com, and we will refund in line with that right. Outside those cases we generally do not refund part-used periods, but write to us if something went wrong and we will look at it.
7. Your licence to use
While your subscription is active we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app and to stream and download videos for private viewing by your household. Nothing in this agreement transfers ownership of anything to you.
8. Content and downloads
Every video in Jellies is reviewed by a person before it appears on a shelf, and age bands are our editorial judgement rather than a guarantee. You decide what to approve for your child. Catalogue availability changes as licences begin and end; a video may leave the service, and downloads of a removed video may stop playing after their licence expires. Downloads are for offline personal viewing only, are stored in encrypted form, and may be limited in number or refreshed periodically.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to: copy, record, rip, re-upload, broadcast, or publicly perform Jellies content; circumvent Kid Mode, age filters, geographic restrictions, or download protection; reverse engineer or attempt to extract our source code except to the extent the law allows; scrape or bulk-download the catalogue; interfere with our infrastructure; resell access; or use Jellies in a way that breaks the law.
10. Intellectual property
The Jellies name, logo, app design, illustrations, and software are owned by us or our licensors. Videos are owned by their respective creators and studios and licensed to us. Feedback you send us is welcome; if you send it, you grant us a free, worldwide licence to use it to improve the service, and we will not treat it as confidential.
11. Availability
We aim to keep Jellies running continuously, but maintenance, network problems, device limitations, and events outside our control can interrupt it. Some features depend on a connection, a minimum operating system version, or available storage. We may add, change, or withdraw features; if a change materially reduces what you paid for, you may cancel and ask us for a pro-rata refund of the unused period.
12. Suspension and closure
You may close your account at any time from the parent area. We may suspend or close an account if you materially breach these terms, if payment fails and is not fixed after notice, or if we must do so by law — with notice, unless a delay would cause harm or the breach is serious. On closure your licence ends and we handle your data as set out in the Privacy Policy.
13. Disclaimers
Jellies is a curation and controls tool, not a substitute for parental supervision, and it is not medical, developmental, or educational advice. Except as expressly set out here and to the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Nothing in this agreement excludes rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country that cannot be excluded.
14. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data caused by your device, or loss you could have avoided by taking reasonable care. Our total liability arising from the service in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period or £50. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
15. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections and the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence. Before starting a formal dispute, please write to hi@jelliesapp.com — most problems are solved in a single email. If we change these terms we will post the new version with a new date and notify account holders of material changes at least 14 days in advance.
